Onsite Hearing Tests

  • Available throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), CAOHC Certified technicians
  • Daily, documented equipment calibration
  • OSHA/MSHA required hearing conservation training available during test session(s)
  • Up to 16 hearing tests per hour capability per mobile unit
  • Hearing History taken on all employees
  • Otoscopic (ear examination) performed on all tested employees
  • Continuous monitoring of noise levels inside the hearing test booth
  • State-of-the-art, computerized microprocessor audiometers
  • Immediate, on-site analysis of obtained audiometric data
  • Immediate, on-site generation and dissemination of individualized employee letter
  • Review of all audiometric data by Certified Audiologist
  • Complete Management Report of all results within one week of test session(s)
  • Follow-up by Audiologist within 10 days of your receipt of the Management Report
  • All tests and procedures meet or exceed State and Federal OSHA/MSHA requirements

Hearing Management Report

Health-Metrics, Inc. routinely age-corrects the obtained audiometric data unless a client requests otherwise. And, unless otherwise requested, we maintain separate baselines for each ear and follow the guidelines of the National Hearing Conservation Association relative to baseline revision.

  • Statistical Analysis - quantifies baselines, annual tests, medical referrals, STS, etc.
  • Summary - alpha list of employees tested, hearing thresholds, indication of stability or lack there-of as compared to baseline, medical review recommendation, etc.
  • Medical Review - list of those employees who were recommended for medical review (by their own physician) based on hearing test data or historical comments offered.
  • STS Summary - list of those exhibiting a 10dB STS as well as those employees who are potentially recordable on the OSHA Form 300 or comparable MSHA form.
  • Retests - list of those employees whose test results were considered unreliable or invalid after audiologist review.
  • Individual Summary Reports - single page report for each employee who exhibits an STS listing all available historical and hearing test results - useful for other reviewing professionals.
  • Daily equipment calibration documentation as well as certification that the booth noise levels were under the maximum allowable levels at all times.
