Pulmonary Function Testing

Health-Metrics, Inc. works with several clients who coordinate their own medical respirator certification program. Their attending licensed healthcare practitioner may request pulmonary function (spirometry) tests on selected employees which we can provide on-site.

Spirometric services include:  [view sample report]

  • Tests conducted by experienced NIOSH Certified technicians
  • State-of-the-art microprocessor spirometric equipment
  • Documented daily calibration (and recalibration during lengthy sessions)
  • Ability to conduct up to 4 tests every 20 minutes
  • Blood pressure obtained immediately prior to testing - no test is performed in the presence of a diastolic measure of 100 or greater or if otherwise medically contraindicated
  • All procedures conducted according to current American Thoracic Society procedures
  • Quantified and graphic display of the best FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC ratio, and FEF25-75 provided
  • Availability of 10 lead EKG onsite if requested
