Company History

Health-Metrics was created in 1988 and incorporated in 1991.  The corporate offices are located in Fresno, California.  Health-Metrics provides onsite health monitoring services to a growing number of clients throughout California, Nevada and Arizona.  Health-Metrics, Inc. is a "Professional Services Member" of the National Hearing Conservation Association.

Our personnel

Richard B. Vaughan, Ph.D.:  A native of California, Dr. Vaughan obtained his Ph.D. in Audiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.  He left a position as Associate Professor of Audiology to manage the Speech, Language, Hearing and Neurodiagnostics departments within a large, local medical center.  In 1988, Dr. Vaughan left that corporation to establish Health-Metrics, Inc. 

Technicians:  Health-Metrics' Health Technicians are highly skilled individuals that maintain a "people oriented" approach to their daily functions.  Each technician is bilingual in Spanish and has undergone extensive, one-on-one training under Dr. Vaughan before being placed in the field.  Each maintains CAOHC certification for hearing and NIOSH certification for the provisions of spirometric procedures.

Mobile test units - each unit:

• Custom made by Health-Metrics, Inc. with heavily insulated outer walls
• One 7' by 7', 4-inch walled, 4-man sound isolated hearing test booth in each unit
• Central air conditioning
• Requires two standard 110V, 20 Amp. power sources within 100 feet
• Sound isolated 110V generators (if needed)
